Exhibition at St Lawrence's Church

The Great War brought a great outburst of patriotic fervour. The efforts of the civilian population - in Evesham at least as much as elsewhere - rose in support of their loved ones in the Forces, and the Allies in other countries. Much of the surge in patriotism was encouraged by the church as a deliberate means to enhance the war effort
